Job Summary

As a Digital operator, you will conduct pre and postproduction quality checks, fulfil digital operator duties, and submit deliverables within the agreed upon deadline and budget.

Job responsibilities

The key responsibilities for the role of a Digital Operator are:

• Operate the assigned digital print machines
• Check and understand the job tickets;
• Print jobs on digital machine as per the job spec
• Load paper in the digital machines;
• Troubleshoot and remove paper jams;
• Provide daily and weekly reports
• Any ad hoc duties assigned by the Pre-Press Manager and Digital Team leader

Job specifications

• Qualifications and requirements

• Post matric qualification in Digital printing.
• Minimum of 3years experience as a Digital operator
• Proficiency in operating all relevant digital machines

• Skills

• Communication skills both verbal and written
• Operating digital machines
• Report writing
• Attention to detail
• Computer literacy
• Understanding Colour management System
• Understand Imposition

Line of reporting

The Digital Operator will report to the Digital Team leader and the Pre-press Manager.
